Brand Spotlight: Sharpie
An Ode to @Sharpies:
“Doodles, mustaches, straight edge and more. More brand-power than the Kleenex we implore?
Taggers and rock stars love you it seems. You even appear in two or three internet memes.
Artists rely on your bold, bright lines. We love all your points from wide to fine.
From boring meetings to celeb autograph’s, we raise our Sharpies..our mighty staffs.”

Ooohh.. I love me some Sharpies!
I actually prefer using a Sharpie over a pen or pencil when concepting wireframes. Sometimes I’ll lightly do sketches with pencil but always finish it with a Sharpie!
There’s just something about it that makes it seem more authoritative.
I also find clients that look at wireframes using a Sharpie make less changes than sketches with pencil. Maybe it’s the Sharpie’s permanency that fires off some synapse in their minds that says, “It can’t be changed”. :)
